Memory
Hi,
I’m Xavier Briones, and I wanted to say thank you.
I started with Austin Soundwaves years ago, and it became a huge part of my life. Through some really hard moments, music gave me a way to stay grounded and keep going.
Now I’m at the University of Miami, studying music therapy and playing guitar, violin, and drums. I still think about the people in Austin who believed in me and made all of this possible.
Your support really does make a difference — not just in music, but in people’s lives.
Thanks for being part of mine.
— Xavier
At Austin Soundwaves, music builds memory and memory builds strength. The memory of the teacher who truly listened for the first time. The memory of discovering what it feels like to be proud of your own work. The memory of the bus ride home after a performance, tired and completely at peace. These moments become anchors our students return to when life feels uncertain. They remind students that who they are and what they bring has worth, and that they can achieve what once felt out of reach. This campaign, Memory, honors the moments that stay with us and the people who make them possible. Each gift helps form another memory a student can return to when they need strength.
Your gift today will help us raise $60,000 by December 31 and support more young people as they build confidence, belonging, and lasting memories through music. And right now, our 1st Chair Circle is matching all year-end gifts up to $15,000, helping your support go even further for students like Xavier.
