ORCHESTRA TEACHING ARTIST AND COORDINATOR

$47,000 - $50,000 - full-time/exempt
Approximately 40 hours per week

Reporting to the Program Director, the Orchestra Teaching Artist and Coordinator is a skilled strings educator and administrator responsible for teaching, leading, and coordinating a variety of strings programs at Austin Soundwaves. This includes but is not limited to full ensemble rehearsals, sectionals, and group classes for orchestral and strings students; coordinating and supporting various community ensembles and programs that take place select evenings and weekends; and helping to ensure the successful implementation and growth of Austin Soundwaves programming and events.

TEACHING ARTISTS (ongoing)

$50/hour - part-time/hourly

Our Austin Soundwaves team of full and part-time staff consists of teaching artists working with our students, program managers, education managers, and development and operations. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
