  • Donating appreciated stocks or mutual funds can provide significant tax advantages:

    • You avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciated value

    • You may receive a charitable tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock

    • Your gift has a larger impact as we receive the full value of your donation

  • Yes! If you're 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free donation directly from your IRA:

    • QCDs can satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD)

    • The amount donated is excluded from your taxable income

    • You can donate up to $105,000 per year through QCDs

    Consult your financial advisor for details on how to set up a QCD.

  • You can name Austin Soundwaves as a beneficiary in your will, trust, or retirement accounts. This allows you to create a lasting legacy while potentially reducing estate taxes. Sample bequest language:

    "I give to Hispanic Alliance for the Performing Arts DBA “Austin Soundwaves,” a nonprofit corporation, tax ID# 45-1601843⁠⁠, currently located at 2235 EAST 6TH STREET, ROOM 107, AUSTIN, TX 78702, or its successors in interest thereto, [dollar amount or percentage] of my estate for its general charitable purposes."

    • Guitarron (mariachi)

    • Timpani

    • Trombone (tenor and bass)

    • Tuba

    • Vihuela (mariachi)

    • Cello

    • Double Bass
